Don’t blame your intuition

Has your intuition failed you?

How do you know if your intuition is working?

Shouldn’t life be perfect if your intuition is operating properly.

I often hear from people that they feel their intuition has let them down. It led them into the wrong relationship, the wrong career, even the wrong behaviors. However, intuition is not a means by which to achieve perfection.

Intuition is not about ensuring that we get everything “right” and never stray off path. Rather, intuition serves to bring us into the experiences we need in order to grow into our greater healing, path and purpose and that sometimes means experiencing effort or hardship so we come to know more about ourselves.

Think of it like this…if you knew you were going into a relationship that would break your heart, you likely wouldn’t engage in it. Yet in not engaging you would inadvertently miss out on learning the depth of your emotions and ability to love as well as the patterns you wish to change based on what worked for you in the relationship versus what did not work.

So the next time you feel your intuition is off or leading you astray, think again.

You grow through trial and error and intuition sometimes leads you there because it knows you need the lesson in order to have what you really want. Therefore, blaming your intuition for leading you into difficult circumstances is like killing the messenger for doing his job

Your intuition is always working properly. Trust that it is guiding you exactly as you need.

To reinforce this message:

Here are a few things you can do to better work with your intuition.

  • Don’t control or orchestrate circumstances in your life rather let life unfold.
  • Visualize and feel the life you desire but be unattached to the exact outcome.
  • Pay attention to the images, feelings and impulses you see and feel throughout the day and how they offer a solution to the issues you current face.
